DuPulse Receives Patent
October 16, 2009 - DuBois is pleased to announce that it has been granted a U.S. patent for our DuPulse™ Technology titled, “Press Stable Method of Cleaning Paper Machine Press Fabrics On-the-Run” (Patent no. 7,597,782).
DuPulse has provided benefits to many paper machines across North America. It has been demonstrated to provide conditions in the press section that are more stable during cleaning than other press felt cleaning method. It has also been able to reduce the heated fresh water use on some machines. In one instance press section water use was reduced by more than 1.5 million gallons per month. Some customers have also documented higher solids leaving the press section, which can provide significant energy savings in the dryer section as well as fewer breaks.
DuPulse technology also offers enhanced worker safety while cleaning machine fabrics, due to its use of low chemical concentrations needed to remove soil contaminants.
